Auto Tips: Do not get the fuel tank full in car-bike, there may be a big loss..

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has recently issued a new circular regarding Fuel Filling Precautions in vehicles. The ministry has appealed to the drivers to never fill their fuel tanks. Along with this, the ministry has also accused the vehicle makers of showing less than the correct capacity of the fuel tank.

According to the ministry, the limit given in the manual book of the vehicle was found to be 15-20 percent less than the actual capacity of the fuel tank. Due to this, the people who fill the fuel tank get cheated as to how the vehicle is consuming more fuel than the prescribed limit. In such a situation, people start accusing the petrol pump of doing wrong.

Do not fill the fuel tank
The ministry has also issued new guidelines regarding the refueling of vehicles, in which some precautions have been asked to be taken while refueling. It has been said that filling the fuel tank in vehicles can be dangerous. Filling the tank can lead to fuel leakage and thus increases the risk of fire.

It has been further said in the instruction that the steam coming out of petrol can get space, so the tank should not be filled. When the tank is full, more pressure is created, due to which more fuel is consumed in the engine and this affects the engine performance of the vehicle. This does not burn the fuel properly and also emits more hydrocarbons.

It has been said in the guidelines that if the tank is full then the fuel may come out when the vehicle is tilted. Petrol is a highly inflammable substance and may catch fire if fuel leaks out of the tank. The ministry has also appealed to the vehicle companies to compulsorily instruct customers not to fill their fuel tank.

People are getting cheated
Let us tell you that many such cases have come to the fore where people were found quarreling with the petrol pump personnel for putting more fuel in the vehicle. In all such cases, the customers had complained of filling the fuel tank over the company's prescribed limit.
