Car Care Tips in Summer:  Keeping a water bottle in the car is common. Especially in the summer season, its need increases. People keep a water bottle with them. People always keep a water bottle in their car so that they can drink it when they feel thirsty. But, do you know that a water bottle kept in the car can also cause a fire? This can turn your car into a fireball and turn it into junk. You may find this strange to hear, but it is true. You must be thinking that water is not a flammable substance, then how can it cause a fire in the car? Let us tell you how this can happen.

How does this happen?

We talked to the fire officer about this danger and learned how a bottle can cause a fire. A plastic water bottle can act like a magnifying lens when exposed to sunlight and can cause a fire inside the car. Especially when the car is parked in bright sunlight. When the rays of the sun pass through a plastic water bottle, it becomes very thin. These rays can cause a fire in the leather parts inside the car such as seat covers, dashboard, or other things.

When does the risk of fire increase?

The risk of fire from a water bottle in a car is especially high when the car is parked in bright sunlight. If the water bottle is kept in a place in the car where the sun rays are falling directly on it, then the chances of fire increase.

Rescue Methods

Do not leave a water bottle in the car.

This is the best way to protect yourself. If you are carrying a water bottle with you, do not leave it inside the car.

Keep it in the slot made in the doors.

If you keep a water bottle in the car, do not keep it in a place where the sun rays are falling directly. Such as near the dashboard or gear. Instead, you can keep the water bottle in the slot made in the car doors. Every car door has a slot to keep the water bottle.

Keep the bottle covered.

If you keep a water bottle in the car, keep it covered. This will prevent the sunlight from falling directly on the bottle and it will not act like a lens. If you want, you can put a cloth on the bottle.

Park the car in the shade

Try to always park your car in the shade. This will keep the temperature inside the car low and also reduce the risk of fire.
