If you install a silencer with firecrackers, there will be a terrible challan, know what the traffic rule says

Traffic Rule for Bikes: If a vehicle is found to have a silencer that makes a loud sound, then strict action can be taken against its owner as per the Motor Vehicle Act.

Traffic Rule for Bikes: Nowadays, after buying bikes like Royal Enfield, customers install modified silencers that make a loud sound like firecrackers. But there is a provision for heavy challans under traffic rules. This traffic rule has been implemented to maintain peace on the roads and reduce noise pollution. If a vehicle is found fitted with a silencer that makes a loud noise, then strict action can be taken against its owner as per the Motor Vehicles Act.

Rules and Invoices:

1. Under the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, such modifications are illegal which increase the sound of the vehicle.

2. Such modified silencers cause noise pollution, which disturbs peace in public places and residential areas.

3. A fine of ₹5,000 or more can be imposed on installing loud silencers like firecrackers.

4. If the drivers are caught violating the rules repeatedly, their driving license can also be suspended and the vehicle can be seized.

Strictness of traffic police

In many cities of the country, the police now regularly check such vehicles on the roads. In many places, the noise of such vehicles is measured using a noise pollution meter.

The purpose of this rule is to maintain peace and safe traffic on the road.

Does the engine damage the firecracker silencer?

The use of a firecracker silencer (modified silencer) can have a bad effect on the vehicle's engine. These silencers are often modified to produce more sound, but this can have a variety of effects in the engine and other mechanical parts:

Increases the pressure on the engine: The cracker silencer changes the back pressure (opposite pressure) in the exhaust system. This pressure can prevent the engine from working properly, affecting engine performance and power.

Overheating of the engine: Due to changes in back pressure, there is more stress on the engine, which can cause the engine to overheat quickly. This overheating can cause damage to critical parts of the engine, such as cylinder heads, pistons, and gaskets.

Reduced mileage: Firecracker silencers change the burning process of the engine, which increases fuel consumption. This has a direct impact on mileage, and reduces the fuel efficiency of the vehicle.

Impact on engine age: Due to constant high pressure and poor fuel burning, the parts of the engine are affected and its life is reduced. Problems like early engine breakdowns, increased servicing costs can arise.
