This new feature is available through the "DMRC Momentum Delhi Sarthi 2.0" mobile application, which allows passengers to travel using digital smart cards. This can be beneficial for the passengers. How much will the recharge cost?
Passengers can recharge the Multiple Journey QR Ticket as per their requirement up to Rs 3,000. This new feature was introduced by DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar, who stressed that the aim of MJQRT is to make travel easier by using a single QR code, which will increase convenience and be environmentally friendly.
How will the multiple journey QR ticket work?
To use MJQRT, users will first have to register on the app, which starts with an initial recharge of ₹150 for metro travel, which can be used for travel. Users can recharge from ₹50 through online payments such as UPI, credit and debit cards.
User benefits
Passengers availing MJQRT will also be able to enjoy promotional discounts. 10% discount during peak hours (8 am to 12 noon and 5 pm to 9 pm) and 20% discount during off-peak hours. A minimum balance of ₹60 is required to start using this ticket option.
