Actually, there is going to be a continuous holiday of six days in the banks from Friday. Banks will remain closed from 13 September to 18 September.

The list of bank holidays is released in advance by the Reserve Bank of India. A complete list of the dates when banks will remain closed across the country is released. Banks across the country will remain closed from 13 to 18 September. Banks are closed on different days in different states due to festivals, but it is better that you check the list of holidays before going to the branch.   

When will the banks remain closed  

  • Banks will remain closed in Rajasthan on September 13 on account of Ramdev Jayanti and Teja Dashami. 
  • September 14 is the second Saturday, due to which banks will remain closed across the country. 
  • Banks across the country will remain closed on September 15 due to Sunday. 
  • Banks will remain closed across the country on September 16 on account of Eid-e-Milad.
  • Banks will remain closed in Sikkim on 17th September due to Indra Jatra.
  • Banks in Kerala will remain closed on September 18 on the occasion of Sri Narayana Guru Jayanti.

When will the banks remain closed for the rest of September

There are long holidays for banks in September. According to the RBI holiday list, banks in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on 20 September due to Eid-ul-Milad-ul Nabi. Banks will remain closed in Kerala on 21 September due to Sri Narayan Guru Samadhi. Banks across the country will remain closed on 22 September due to Sunday. Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on 23 September due to Maharaj Hari Singh Ji Diwas. Along with this, there will be a holiday on fourth Saturday and Sunday on 29, 30 September.
