So far 17 installments have been paid. Two lakh 53 thousand 364 farmers are getting the benefit of the scheme. Agriculture Department Secretary Sanjay Kumar Agarwal has written a letter to the District Magistrate regarding giving the benefit of the scheme to at least one person of the family under the implementation instructions of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

He has said in the letter that under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the benefit of the scheme is to be given to only those farmer families who have cultivable land, their bank account is linked to Aadhaar and NPCI and e-KYC verification has been completed.

Under this scheme, husband, wife and minor child have been defined as family. The Government of India did a one to one matching of the Aadhaar of the beneficiaries taking benefit in the PM Kisan Yojana with the Aadhaar linked to the ration card of the beneficiaries taking benefit under the Public Distribution System and it was found that more than one person in a family is taking benefit of this scheme.

Under this scheme, benefit is to be given to only one member of the family. The Government of India has directed that physical verification of all the beneficiaries registered under the PM Kisan Yojana should be done, so that according to the guidelines of this scheme, one person of the family gets the benefit of the scheme, so that only eligible beneficiaries can get the benefit of the upcoming 18th installment. The District Magistrate has directed the District Agriculture Officer to investigate the matter and all Block Supply Officers to provide the list.

The District Agriculture Officer has asked all the Agriculture Coordinators, Block Technical Managers, Assistant Technical Managers and all the Farmer Advisors to submit their report within three days. Investigation has started on the basis of the report of the Block Supply Officer and the Central Government.

Taking benefits as daughter and wife Many interesting cases are coming to light during the investigation. A woman is taking benefits as both daughter and wife. The woman's name is there in the ration card of her maternal house and the woman's name is there in the ration card of her in-laws' house as well. There are many joint families in the district.

Ration cards are not made separately in joint families. Due to this, this irregularity has come to light. The family in which there are two brothers apart from the parents and all three have separate ration cards, they are not facing such problems. They will keep getting the benefits of the scheme.
