Bangladesh Crisis: Since the coup in Bangladesh, the state of pauperism is such that the Yunus government is sometimes seeking a loan from the World Bank and sometimes spreading its hand in front of America. A few days ago, Bangladesh first got financial help from America, then the World Bank also opened its coffers for Bangladesh. In the current financial year, the World Bank can provide financial assistance of $ 2 billion to Bangladesh. Earlier, the US also assured Bangladesh of $ 200 million help. Bangladesh, which is going through a financial crisis, has now again spread its hand in front of the World Bank for a loan. It is expected to get $ 1.1 billion from the World Bank and Asian Development Bank by December.

Bangladesh is expected to receive $600 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and $500 million from the World Bank by December. Finance Secretary Mohammad Khairuzzaman Mozumdar gave this information. He said the policies implemented by the interim administration have been positively accepted by donor agencies like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. "Our interim government's policy measures have yielded good results, which exceed our initial expectations in terms of funding. For instance, we successfully negotiated a loan of $600 million with ADB and we expect to receive the funding by December.

He also highlighted the discussions with the World Bank, which agreed to provide $500 million loan support within the same timeframe. The Finance Secretary said that originally, these loans were earmarked at $300 million and $250 million, respectively, but these were later doubled as there were favourable negotiations. Mozumdar said the government is seeking more financial assistance from the IMF. "We have requested an additional $1 billion in assistance from the IMF for this year. Input -IANS
