Clip from the BBC documentary

This video is a small clip from a BBC documentary in which Shahrukh is explaining to his children about the importance of Diwali and God. This video is from a BBC documentary which was about the Diwali party held at Shahrukh-Gauri's house in the year 2004. In this video, Shahrukh and Gauri are explaining to their children the importance of religion in a person's life and how God is defined in it since their parents come from different cultures. The video shows a scene inside the Mannat of Shahrukh's house where Shahrukh and Gauri are explaining to the children about the Diwali puja. Along with this, Shahrukh is also seen explaining to the children about the things mentioned in the Quran.

In the video, Shahrukh tells that in his house, children are told and explained about both the religions. Shahrukh says that it is important for his children to understand the importance of God in our lives, whether it is a Hindu God or a Muslim, so we have kept the Holy Quran next to the idols of Lord Ganesha and Mata Lakshmi in the house. Shahrukh tells in the video that we recite the Gayatri Mantra with folded hands and my son says 'Bismillah' with me. I feel happy when I am able to teach my children something about which I myself did not know so well. Shahrukh says that I am not a very religious person but I have deep faith in Allah. My parents never forced me to read Namaz five times a day.
