The Kerala Story equals the film Pathan in this respect

Adah Sharma starrer film The Kerala Story has crossed the 200 crore mark at the box office. Directed by Sudipto Ghosh, the film touched this figure on its 17th day of release. Touching this figure is a big deal for a film made in a budget of only 20 to 30 crores.

This film, which came into controversies even before its release, has become the second film to touch the figure of two hundred crores this year. Earlier this figure was crossed by Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan's film Pathan. Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan also failed to perform well at the box office.

While Akshay Kumar's Selfie and Karthik Aryan's Shehzada also failed at the box office. The Kerala Story, which released across the theaters on 5 May, did a box office collection of 8.03 crores on the first day. The film made a huge collection of about 11 crores on the 17th day.
