The story of that warrior of Kanguva, by competing with whom Bobby Deol will become a pan India villain

Kanguva is a pan India film. Bobby Deol is playing the villain in the film. There are a lot of expectations from him. He has to compete with Tamil superstar Surya in the film. The story of this film is divided into two periods. In one, Surya is in a modern avatar, and in the other, he is a king in a story that happened 700 years ago.

Some time ago, the news came that the film is based on a king named Vel Pari. However, the makers have not given any official information on this. But they have not denied it either.

Surya becomes Raja Vel Pari in 'Kanguva'?

Actually 'Vel Pari' is also a Tamil novel. In this, the name of the king is Vel Pari. A few days ago, director S. Shankar said that he has the rights to 'Vel Pari', no one else can make a film on it. At that time, 'Devra' was accused of being based on 'Vel Pari'. But the film was released and the matter ended. But the same is being said about 'Kanguva' that even though the story is not taken from the novel 'Vel Pari', Surya's character is loosely based on the king named Vel Pari. Well, whatever it is, let us tell you what is the story of King Vel Pari?

Who was Vel Pari?

Hundreds of years ago, there was a place called Tamilakam. It was formed by combining Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and the Southern part of Karnataka. There was a state called Parambunadu in Tamilakam. The Velir dynasty ruled here. One of the kings of this dynasty was Vel Pari. Kapilar was a friend of Vel Pari. He was a poet. He wrote a poem based on the life of Vel Pari. This is a part of the Tamil epic 'Purananuru'. In this, he has mentioned the stories of Vel Pari's life. Actually, there are 400 powerful songs in 'Purananuru'. These have been written by 157 poets. It mentions 48 kings of the Tamil state. One of these kings is Vel Pari.

Did not bow down before the Chola, Chera and Pandya empire

It is said that Vel Pari was very generous. While travelling on a chariot, he once saw a vine plant which was not growing. He left his chariot there to support that plant. Apart from being generous, Vel Pari was also a great warrior. At that time, Tamilakam was ruled by the Chola, Chera and Pandya dynasties. Apart from these, the Velir dynasty ruled independently in Parambunadu. There were about 300 villages in this kingdom. Their kingdom was running smoothly.

It is said that then there was a competition among the Chola, Chera and Pandya dynasties to expand their empire. These three started creating havoc in Tamil Nadu. The king who did not surrender to them was killed. Vel Pari's kingdom also came under their target. All three wanted to include Parambunadu in their empire. But Vel Pari did not agree. He sent his envoy to all the three kings. The matter did not work out. After this, a fierce battle took place. In this war, Vel Pari fought very bravely. His name became immortal in Tamil history forever.
