According to reports, the film Kabuliwala was released in the year 1961 based on Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore's short story Kabuliwala. Earlier, Chhavi Biswas had played the role of Rahmat in the Bengali film Kabuliwala based on the same story, released in 1957.

Now the audience will be seen playing the role of Mithun Chakraborty Rahmat in the film Kabuliwala directed by Suman Ghosh, made in Bengali language. The release date of this film produced by Jio Studio and SVF has also been revealed to everyone. It will be released in theatres on December 22.

Mithun Chakraborty has given his reaction regarding this film. Bollywood star actor Mithun said that the character of Rahmat was quite challenging because the one who had played this role before is considered the God of acting.
