A phone call came from London, the husband said such a thing that the wife reached the police station crying

A case of triple talaq and dowry harassment has come to light from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Here, a young man living in London gave triple talaq to his wife over the phone just 9 months after marriage. The wife started crying after hearing the word talaq from her husband. She went straight to the police station and told the police about her husband's misdeed. The police have registered a case under serious sections and started an investigation.

The case is from the Chamanganj area. Gulnaz, who lives here, was married to Asif Jamal, a resident of Ballia, just 9 months ago. Gulnaz's father had married her with great hopes. He also spent about 25 to 30 lakh rupees on the wedding. But he did not know what his son-in-law and his family were going to do with his daughter. Gulnaz started receiving all kinds of comments and harassment just a few days after the marriage.

It is alleged that the husband and in-laws used to demand dowry from Gulnaz every day. They used to beat her for dowry. Everyone in the neighborhood also came to know about this fight. Asif did not want people to taunt him or his family for this. Therefore, he took Gulnaz with him to London. But the series of fights did not end there as well, after which Asif sent Gulnaz to Kanpur from London. After coming to Kanpur, Gulnaz thought it better to go to her in-laws, but there she was again beaten and she came to her maternal home in Kanpur on 27 August.

If we believe Gulnaz, the next day Gulnaz reached her maternal home from her in-laws' house and got a call from her husband Asif who said that he would not live with Gulnaz. Asif said- I will marry again. I divorce you. Asif then said Talaq Talaq Talaq three times on the phone and disconnected the call. Hearing such words from her husband, Gulnaz felt as if the ground slipped under her feet. She started crying bitterly. She also told her family about her husband's misdeed. After this, she reached Chamanganj police station. Here she registered a case of dowry harassment along with triple Talaq.

Chamanganj police station in-charge Dinesh Kumar Bisht said that an investigation is being done into the case. Asif is currently in London. Therefore, efforts will be made to call the accused husband to Kanpur by contacting the embassy. The in-laws are also being questioned. If the allegations are found to be true, strict action will be taken.
