Action taken in three-year-old SI paper leak case, five more trainee Sub-inspectors arrested
Rajasthan Police has arrested five trainee sub-inspectors on Saturday. These arrests have been made in the 2021 Sub Inspector (SI) recruitment exam paper leak case. These accused have been arrested by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police. Two women are also among those arrested.
The SOG of Rajasthan Police has been investigating this case for a long time. In 2021, seven trainee sub-inspectors including three women were arrested. At that time, Manisha Sihag, Ankita Godara, and Prabha Bishnoi were arrested from Rajasthan Police Academy and Mandore Training Center, Jodhpur.
SOG Additional Director General VK Singh had said that the team has also arrested Dinesh Singh Chauhan. Dinesh Singh was the operator of the school where the exam was held. He had said that the paper was arranged by Paurav Kaler Naresh Dan Charan and Praveen Kumar had solved it.
In this case, related to the paper leak, SOG has already arrested many sub-inspectors. In the year 2021, 15 sub-inspectors were arrested for using proxy candidates to pass the SI exam. The topper of the SI recruitment exam was also among the accused.
At that time, SOG raided several cities of Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Ajmer, Boyer, and Kishangarh, and arrested trainee sub-inspectors. 13 sub-inspectors were taken into custody from Jaipur itself. Last week, the alleged illegal house of an accused involved in the paper leak case was demolished by officials in Churu. This action was taken by the Churu Municipal Corporation. Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar had said, "Vivek Bhambhu, an accused in the SI paper leak case, had got this construction done illegally."
