Union Home Minister Amit Shah's elder sister has died during treatment in a hospital in Mumbai. This information has been given by a BJP official. After the death of their sister Rajeshwariben Shah, Amit Shah canceled all his programs in Gujarat. Rajeshwariben's age was around 60.

BJP official said that Rajeshwariben was not well for some time and was undergoing treatment in a hospital in Mumbai, where she breathed her last in the early hours of Monday. After the death of his ailing sister, Amit Shah has cancelled all his programs today.

Rajeshwariben's mortal remains were brought to her residence in Ahmedabad this morning and her last rites will be performed at Thaltej crematorium in the afternoon.

On Monday, he was scheduled to attend two programs in Banaskantha and Gandhinagar districts. In Banaskantha, Amit Shah was about to inaugurate various projects of Banas Dairy in Deodar village. In the afternoon he was also scheduled to inaugurate various developmental projects at the National Defense University in Gandhinagar.
