Baba Siddique Murder Case: Shiv Kumar Gautam, the main accused in the murder of Baba Siddique, has been arrested. Shiv Kumar said that after the shooting, he stopped outside Lilavati Hospital to find out whether Siddique had died or not.

Mumbai: Shiv Kumar Gautam, the prime accused in the NCP leader Baba Siddiqui murder case, has made a big revelation during police interrogation. He has confessed to the murder in front of the police. During police interrogation, he said that after the shooting, he stood outside Lilavati Hospital for 30 minutes to see whether Baba Siddiqui was dead or not. Baba Siddiqui was murdered on 12 October at 9:11 pm. He was shot twice in the chest and was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital where he was declared dead.

Gautam told the police that after the shooting, he changed his shirt and mingled with the crowd. He stood outside the hospital for about half an hour and when he came to know that Siddiqui's condition was very critical, he left from there. Let us tell you that Mumbai Crime Branch and Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force (STF) had arrested Gautam and his four accomplices near the Nepal border.

According to the police, the investigation was initiated due to the suspicious activities of Gautam's four friends. These people were seen buying clothes of different sizes and planning to meet Gautam in a remote forest. According to a PTI report, they were in constant touch with Gautam through internet calls on mobile phones purchased in Lucknow. Police said that these four friends were planning to help the main accused flee the country.

After the shootout, Gautam went to Kurla from the spot. From there he took a local train to Thane and then fled to Pune. It is being said that he threw away his mobile phone in Pune. He stayed in Pune for about seven days and then went to Jhansi and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. On Sunday, Gautam was found hiding in a colony of 10 to 15 shanties, about 10 km from Nanpara, a town in Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier there was a plan to go to Vaishno Devi

Shiv Kumar Gautam said that according to the initial plan, he had to meet his companions Dharamraj Kashyap and Gurmel Singh at Ujjain railway station. From there, a member of the Bishnoi gang was going to take them to Vaishno Devi. However, this plan failed as Kashyap and Singh were caught by the police.
