BJP opened its account before the Rajya Sabha elections, these 5 leaders became MPs in 4 states

Before the voting of Rajya Sabha by-election, 5 BJP leaders have been elected unopposed MPs in 4 states. By-elections are to be held on 12 seats in 9 states of the country. BJP has won 5 of these 12 seats even before the voting. On Tuesday, many leaders were declared unopposed MPs in the Rajya Sabha by-election. Among them, Kiran Chaudhary from Haryana, Upendra Kushwaha, and Manan Kumar Mishra have been elected unopposed Rajya Sabha MPs from Bihar. Along with this, Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu from Rajasthan and BJP leader George Kurien from Madhya Pradesh have been elected MPs.

The Election Commission had issued a notification for the Rajya Sabha by-election in August. The last date for filing nomination papers was 21 August and the last date for withdrawal of nomination was 27 August. Voting for these elections is to be held on 3 September. After this, the counting of votes will take place from 5 pm that evening and the results will be declared by night. However, there was no candidate against BJP on these 5 seats, hence they won unopposed. In this way, 5 BJP leaders have become members of the Upper House of Parliament without going through the electoral process.

Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu has been elected Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan. Today was the last date for nomination for the Rajya Sabha seat. Congress did not field any candidate against Bittu. BJP leader Sunil Kothari had also filed his nomination but a few days later he withdrew his nomination. At the same time, the nomination of an independent candidate Babita Wadhwani was rejected. Bittu has been in Congress for a long time. He recently contested the Lok Sabha elections, but he had to face defeat. However, despite losing the election, he was given the responsibility of the post of Union Minister.

Kiran Chaudhary, who joined the BJP from Congress, has also been elected unopposed in the Rajya Sabha by-election from Haryana. She also got the certificate of victory on Tuesday. Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini was also present on this occasion. However, after this victory, Saini said that congratulations to Kiran Chaudhary for this one-sided victory. Taking a dig at the Congress, he said that the people of Congress had accused the government of being in the minority. But today Kiran Chaudhary's victory has shown the mirror to the Congress.

NDA candidates Upendra Kushwaha and Manan Kumar Mishra have been elected unopposed as MPs in the by-elections on two Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar. Upendra Kushwaha, who lost the election from the Karakat Lok Sabha seat, has been sent to the upper house of Parliament by the BJP. The BJP had made a big move by giving tickets to Manan Kumar Mishra in the by-election. He is a resident of Tiwari Khareya village of Kuchaykot block of Gopalganj district of Bihar.

Apart from these, Union Minister and BJP leader George Kurien was also elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. BJP had made him a candidate in the by-election. But apart from him, no other candidate filled the form due to which he was elected unopposed MP. Along with this, he has also registered a record in his name. George Kurien has become the first Christian MP to be elected to the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. CM Mohan Yadav was also present with him while receiving the certificate of victory.
