A shocking news is coming from Chennai. In fact, a man in the Thoraipakkam police station area here killed a sex worker in a petty monetary dispute. The police have arrested a person in this case, the man is accused of allegedly killing a woman, who was allegedly a sex worker, in a monetary dispute and throwing her chopped body parts in a suitcase in Chennai's Thoraipakkam area on Thursday morning.

Body parts found stuffed in a suitcase

During the investigation, Thoraipakkam police found the woman's chopped body parts in a suitcase. In the initial investigation, the police found that the woman was murdered somewhere else and her body parts were stuffed in a suitcase and thrown in a residential colony near the IT corridor in Thoraipakkam area. The accused has been identified as Manikandan from Sivaganga district, while the 32-year-old woman was a resident of Madhavaram. Manikandan told the police during interrogation that he had a fight with the woman over money, after which he killed her with a hammer. He also told the police that he chopped off the body parts and stuffed them in a suitcase and threw them away. 

Brother lodges complaint

The woman's brother lodged a missing person complaint after she did not return home. When he tried to call her mobile, he found that the phone was switched off. He tracked her phone and found that she was last seen near Thoraipakkam. On Wednesday night, he went to the police station to lodge a missing report for his sister and informed the Thoraipakkam police about her last known location. The police then tracked down the suspect using footage from CCTV cameras.
