CM Gehlot took this big step regarding education, approved this proposal 

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is also continuously taking important steps in the field of education. He has once again taken a big step regarding government English medium schools. Before the assembly elections to be held this year, CM Gehlot has now given approval to convert 131 government schools of various categories into Mahatma Gandhi Government English Medium Schools.

With the approval of Chief Minister Gehlot, 42 schools of primary level, 56 schools of upper primary level and 33 schools of higher secondary level will be converted into English medium schools. These also include 8 girls' schools.

Of these, 27 in Jaipur, 15 in Alwar, 13 in Baran, 12 in Jodhpur, 10-10 in Barmer and Jhunjhunu, 7-7 in Bhilwara and Karauli, 6-6 in Dausa and Dungarpur, 5 in Nagaur, 4 in Bharatpur, Ajmer K3, Jalore K2 and Kota, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh and Churu have 1-1 schools.
