The accused had killed the constable by running him over with the car. The accused were drinking alcohol while sitting in the car. Police constable Sandeep had forbidden them from drinking alcohol. Angered by this, they killed Sandeep. The deceased constable's colleague complained to the police about the incident that happened on the night of the incident.

Constable Sandeep Malik was killed by a speeding car on Nangloi-Railway Station Road at around 2 am on the night of 28-29 September. The CCTV footage of the incident also went viral. The accused car driver dragged the constable for 10 meters. The police recovered the car involved in the incident. The deceased constable had met his colleague just before the incident. He is also a constable in Delhi Police. The police have registered a case on his complaint.

Deceased constable Sandeep Malik's colleague Khushi Ram told the police that he is a resident of Alwar in Rajasthan and is posted as a constable at Ranhola police station in Delhi. His colleague Sachin is also posted at the same police station. He, Sachin, and deceased constable Sandeep Malik all three live on rent in a house located in Veena Enclave. On the night of the incident, at around 2 o'clock, he found Sandeep Malik in civil dress on Railway Station Road. Khushi Ram said that when asked Sandeep, he said that the incidents of theft are increasing in the area, so the thieves are being kept under surveillance by doing duty in plain clothes.

Khushi Ram said that he and Sachin met Sandeep and started walking. Meanwhile, Sandeep went ahead and saw a white Wagon R parked near Nangloi Government School. Its windows were open. When Sandeep reached the car, Dharmendra Bhandari, a resident of Veena Enclave, was drinking alcohol with one of his friends. Seeing this, Sandeep stopped them from drinking alcohol. Dharmendra got furious at this and said to Constable Sandeep, 'What is your status?' Hearing this, Sandeep threatened to take him to the police station. On hearing this, Dharmendra drove the car towards the railway station. Sandeep followed him on a bike. Khushi Ram and Sachin also followed Sandeep.

The second accused said 'Kill me'

Khushi Ram said that accused Dharmendra Bhandari stopped the car on the lane going towards Jat Dharamshala towards Veena Enclave. Sandeep reached the car on his bike. He started driving the car slowly. When Sandeep asked him to stop the car, the person sitting next to Dharmendra threatened to kill Sandeep. Meanwhile, accused Dharmendra drove the car and hit Sandeep's bike from behind. Sandeep fell down from the bike due to the collision. The accused drove the car fast and crushed him.

Sandeep got stuck between two cars.

The car collided with another car parked in front at a high speed. Sandeep got stuck between the two cars. The accused kept increasing the speed of the car, due to which Sandeep got badly injured. Accused Dharmendra fled leaving the moving car. Khushi Ram said that he and his friend Sachin ran and reached Sandeep. He had a deep head injury due to the collision and was badly bleeding. They caught the other accused sitting in the car. He was identified as Rajneesh, a resident of Veena Enclave.

Doctors declared Sandeep dead.

Khushi Ram and Sachin reached Sonia Hospital with injured Sandeep and accused Rajneesh in the accused's Wagon R car. Injured Sandeep was admitted there. Meanwhile, the accused Rajneesh escaped after getting the opportunity. Doctors gave first aid to Sandeep and referred him to a higher center in critical condition. He died while being taken in an ambulance. Police have registered a case against accused Dharmendra Bhandari and Rajneesh.
