Explosion near Israeli embassy: Took auto from Jamia Metro station, stopped for 5 minutes… Police identifying blast suspects near Israeli Embassy

 

The explosion near the Israeli Embassy is being investigated. Meanwhile, the police have come to know that two suspects had taken an auto from Jamia Metro station. After stopping for some time, the suspects took another auto and left from Prithviraj Road for their duty route. Police is checking CCTV of the entire route.

There was an explosion on December 26 near the Israel Embassy located in the national capital. A lot of information has come to light in this matter quoting Delhi Police sources. In this case, two suspects had taken an auto from Jamia to Prithviraj Road. This area is behind the Israel Embassy. Police have identified the auto driver and his statement has been recorded. It has been told that these suspects had taken an auto from Jamia Metro Station to Prithviraj Road for Rs 150.

The auto driver told the police that the suspects did not know Hindi and were talking in English. He stayed at Prithviraj Road for about 5 minutes and then left in another auto. According to police sources, the auto of the suspects had left for duty from Prithviraj Road. Police is checking CCTV of the entire route. Let us tell you that the accused in the IED blast near the Israeli Embassy in 2021 had also gone to Jamia by auto, which is still away from the police and investigating agencies.

Police has recorded statements of 10 people
At the same time, a police officer says that Delhi Police recorded the statements of some more people. During this time he told that he had heard the sound of an explosion near the Israeli Embassy. Police have collected footage from CCTV cameras, with the help of which those people who were seen at the spot before the blast are being identified. Police say that till now the statements of at least 10 people including security guards and passers-by have been recorded. These people have claimed that they heard the sound of the explosion and also saw smoke.

Special cell and NIA are also investigating the case.
Another officer says that after the forensic report comes, it will be found out who caused the explosion. Forensic experts of National Security Group (NSG) and Delhi Police had collected samples on Wednesday. The report is still awaited. At the same time, officials had said that no one was injured in this incident. However, a letter was received from the security forces. Police say that the case has not been registered yet. Special Cell and NIA officials are also looking into this case.
