Heads of state and other leaders from around the world attending the G20 summit were gifted a curated collection of handmade artifacts and products that speak about India's rich cultural traditions, officials said on Tuesday.

He said some of the gifts were carefully hand-crafted by the country's master artisans.

He said the gift items included saffron from Kashmir, a rosewood wooden chest with brass band, Pekoe Darjeeling and Nilgiri teas, Araku coffee, Kashmiri pashmina shawls, Sundarban multiflora mangrove honey and Zighrana 'Ittar' (perfume oil) from Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh. ) Are included.

The G20 summit was held from 9–10 September at the newly constructed Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan.

It was attended by US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and French President Emmanuel Macron, among other world leaders.

Officials said the Indian government gifted the leaders a curated collection of handmade artifacts and products that speak to India's rich cultural traditions.

"Some of the products gifted to him have a centuries-old tradition and are loved across the world for their unique workmanship and quality," a senior official said.

The visiting leaders were also gifted a khadi scarf and a coin box containing G20 commemorative coins by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
