Incidents are happening in a planned manner against Muslims, strict law should be brought in Parliament- Maulana Arshad Madani

Maulana Madani said that mob violence is not a social problem but a political problem and it can only be solved politically. He said that now the time has come that the political parties calling themselves secular should come out openly against it and put pressure on the government to make a law against mob violence.

Maulana Arshad Madani, President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind

Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani has expressed anger over the incidents of mob lynching in Chhattisgarh and Aligarh. He says that such incidents are being carried out in a planned manner against Muslims. Madani has demanded that a strict law be brought in the Parliament against mob violence. He said that in the recently held Lok Sabha elections, most people of the country have rejected communalism and politics of hatred, but despite this, the poison of hatred that communalists have filled in the hearts and minds of people for the last few years has not completely ended. He said that the incidents in Chhattisgarh and Aligarh are proof of this.

Maulana Madani further said that despite the strict instructions of the Supreme Court, such incidents are happening whereas, on 17 July 2018, the Supreme Court had expressed its displeasure over such incidents and had clearly said that no person can take the law into his own hands. But even now such incidents are happening continuously by ignoring the court. Maulana Madani said that to stop such incidents, the court had directed the central government to make a separate law. Even after this, such inhuman incidents are happening.

'People have no fear of the law'

Madani said that the occurrence of such incidents shows that people have no fear of the law. They are also sure that even if they are caught, nothing will happen to them because even after the Supreme Court's direction, no separate law has been brought in the Parliament for this. Except for a few states, no one has made a law against mob violence.

'Violence is not a social problem but a political problem'

Maulana Madani said that mob violence is not a social problem but a political problem and it can be solved only politically. He said that now the time has come that the political parties calling themselves secular should come out openly against it and put pressure on the government to make a law against mob violence. Attacking the government, Madani said that these incidents have confirmed that neither the central government nor the state government is serious about stopping mob violence.

'Those who commit violence are roaming freely'

Along with this, Madani alleged that all this is happening in a planned manner against Muslims. He said that on one hand, on the basis of mere suspicion, bulldozers are run on people's houses, while on the other hand, those who play with human life are roaming freely. This is a true and horrifying picture of today's new India. He said that no arrests have been made so far in the Chhattisgarh incident, which is proof that the lives of Muslims have no value for those who enforce the law.

A few days ago, at a place called Arang near Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, some people stopped a truck loaded with animals and beat up the driver and two other youths, due to which two youths died on the spot. Both of them were residents of Saharanpur and Shamli districts of Uttar Pradesh. Their names were Chand Mian and Guddu Khan. In this incident, the third youth Saddam Khan was seriously injured and died during treatment.
