Kolkata rape case: Another action against RG Kar's former principal Sandip Ghosh, doctor's title taken away

 

The troubles of former principal Sandip Ghosh, who is facing allegations of financial irregularities in the Kolkata rape case and RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, are not reducing. The West Bengal Medical Council has canceled the registration of Sandip Ghosh. In a notice issued by the West Bengal Medical Council, it is said that the council had issued him a show cause notice on September 6, but his reply has not been received even after 13 days.

The notice states that after not receiving his reply, the Medical Council has removed his name from the Register of Registered Medical Practitioners. Sandeep Ghosh's registration number in the West Bengal Medical Council was 52497. His registration has been canceled.

Let us tell you that after the rape and murder of a lady doctor in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9, Sandeep Ghosh was accused of tampering with evidence. The allegations were being made by the parents of the deceased along with the junior doctors. Along with this, the CBI was also investigating the case of corruption in RG Kar.

He was first arrested by ED in the case of financial irregularities in RG Kar and later CBI arrested him on charges of tampering with facts in the Kolkata rape case and currently he is on CBI remand.

Let us tell you that two members of the West Bengal Medical Council had requested to take action on the allegations against Sandeep Ghosh. After that, the Medical Council asked him for a reply, but he did not give any reply. Only after that, did the West Bengal Medical Council decide to cancel his registration. This registration number is very important while claiming to be a doctor, which was canceled by the West Bengal Medical Council.

Later he was made the Principal of the National Medical College, but when there was a controversy regarding this, he was appointed OSD in the Health Department, but after the allegations of CBI, he was suspended.
