A case of rape of a minor in a moving ambulance has come to light in Mauganj. The driver and his companion committed the crime, while the girl's sister and brother-in-law allegedly helped. The police have arrested the main accused.

Mauganj: An incident of rape of a minor girl by the ambulance driver in a moving ambulance has come to light in Mauganj, Madhya Pradesh. Police said that the girl was travelling in the ambulance with her family, but none of them was ill. Police have arrested the main accused.

Deputy Superintendent of Police of Rewa region, Shakti Pandey, said that the incident took place in the 108 ambulance on November 22 and it is alleged that the girl's sister and brother-in-law helped the accused. Police said that at the time of the incident, the girl, her sister, brother-in-law, the ambulance driver and one of his companions were present in the ambulance.

The girl was with her sister and brother-in-law. Both are accused of assisting in the crime. The girl's sister and brother-in-law knew the ambulance driver. On the way, the sister and brother-in-law got off the vehicle on the pretext of buying water. During this, the ambulance driver, instead of stopping the vehicle, drove off at a high speed.

Meanwhile, the driver's partner Rajesh Kewat raped the girl and kept her with him the whole night. In the morning, the accused left the girl on the roadside and fled. After this, the girl somehow reached home and told her mother about the incident. But, fearing social stigma, the mother did not complain with the police for two days. Later, on November 25, she mustered up courage and complained with the police. A case has been registered against four people aged between 25 and 30 years.

All the accused have been booked under the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Ambulance drivers Virendra Chaturvedi and Rajesh Kewat raped the girl and were arrested on Wednesday night. Police said the search is on for the girl's sister and brother-in-law, who helped in the crime.
