The Government of India has started the PAN Upgradation Program (PAN 2.0). Under this project, old PAN cards will be upgraded and PAN cards with new technology will be provided. The new PAN cards with QR codes will be more secure and user information will be easily available.

The Government of India has started a PAN upgradation program. It has been named PAN 2.0. The Income Tax Department has given the green signal to the PAN 2.0 project. This project has been started to improve the PAN/TAN 1.0 eco-system. The PAN 2.0 program is a part of this which has been brought to upgrade the old system. However, there are many questions related to it. Many users have questions in their minds how can it be upgraded, will a separate payment have to be made for this?

Will I have to pay separately?

With the help of PAN 2.0, the entire system will be upgraded. The system will be based online. However, users will not have to pay for this. The old PAN card will be upgraded and users will be given PAN with new technology. PAN data will also be made more secure. That is, the entire data of PAN users will be made more secure. If they use it, then their data will also be taken care of by the government.

What will be different in PAN 2.0?

Talking about PAN 2.0, a separate QR code will be given in it. After scanning it, the complete information of the user can be easily obtained. PAN activity will also be taken care of. Security will be taken care of in the upgraded version. Registration of taxpayers will also be improved. However, there are still many questions about this. Further decisions will be taken by the government on this.

Rs 1,435 crore will also be spent by the government to upgrade the system. It has been described as a part of Digital India. Work on the entire system has also been started. A notification can also be issued regarding this now.
