Rajasthan News: The Election Commission suspended IPS officer Kishan Sahay Meena on Wednesday morning. Officer Meena, from the 2004 batch, was assigned duty in Jharkhand elections but left for Jaipur without notifying the Commission. Due to this act, the Election Commission took immediate action and suspended him. Sources say he will soon be charge-sheeted for negligence in election duties.
In a letter to the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, the Election Commission stated that IPS officer Kishan Sahay Meena was appointed as a police observer for three assembly constituencies in Gumla district of Jharkhand – Sisai, Gumla, and Bishnupur. However, on October 28, he left Gumla for Jaipur without the Commission's approval, abandoning his observer duties prematurely. The Commission called this an act of irregularity and negligence, recommending immediate suspension and disciplinary action against him. Additionally, the Commission instructed that a charge sheet be issued to Meena within seven days of the letter.
