Suicide of female lawyer: 11 pages long suicide note reveals the secrets of police brutality

 

Bangalore businesswoman made serious allegations against DSP Kanakalakshmi before committing suicide. Bribery and harassment were mentioned in an 11-page suicide note. Police registered a case.

Bengaluru. S Jeeva, a 33-year-old businesswoman and lawyer from Bengaluru, committed suicide at her home on November 22. She has written an 11-page suicide note, in which serious allegations have been made against Bengaluru Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kanakalakshmi.

Allegations made in a suicide note 

In the suicide note, Jeeva wrote that DSP Kanakalakshmi humiliated him in public, stripped him naked, and demanded a bribe of Rs 25 lakh. Jeeva was accused as a supplier in the Karnataka Bhovi Vikas Nigam scam and had recently appeared before the CID.

Family's allegations and FIR 

Jeeva's sister S Sangeetha filed a police complaint accusing DSP Kanakalakshmi of being responsible for her sister's death. Based on the complaint, Bengaluru police have registered a case against DSP Kanakalakshmi under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 and the Indian Penal Code. She committed suicide last Friday (November 22), the sister said. The woman has an 11-page death note in which she alleges that a senior police officer stripped her and demanded a bribe of Rs 25 lakh. Business woman's struggle 

Jeeva ran a wood material shop in Bengaluru's Penya area and was also a reputed lawyer. The Karnataka High Court had directed the CID to question her online, but the CID forced her to appear physically.

Other allegations against DSP 

According to the FIR, the DSP visited his shop humiliated him in front of the employees, and refused to accept his documents. Jeeva's family has demanded a fair investigation and strict action against the accused officer.
