He was a constable of 2018 batch. He was 30 years old and his family consists of his mother, wife and 5-year-old son. Sandeep's wife and mother are inconsolable due to his death.

According to DCP Outer, Delhi Police constable Sandeep was going from Nangloi police station towards Railway Road during duty. He was wearing civil clothes due to the incidents of theft in the area. He saw a WagonR car being driven recklessly. Constable Sandeep had signaled the driver not to drive at high speed. The car driver dragged him for 10 meters.
The DCP said that the overtaking vehicle increased the speed and hit constable Sandeep from behind. The driver dragged the bike along with the car for 10 meters. A little further the Wagon R car collided with another vehicle. Constable Sandeep was seriously injured due to the car collision. He was immediately taken to Sonia Hospital. Seeing his condition deteriorating, he was later referred to Balaji Hospital in Paschim Vihar. Where he was declared dead. Police is searching for the accused car driver.
According to CCTV footage, Sandeep signaled the Wagon R to slow down while turning left in a lane. At this, the Wagon R suddenly increased the speed and hit the bike. The car driver dragged the constable along with the bike for about 10 meters. Later the car collided with another parked car. Sandeep died due to head injuries. A case has been registered under 103 BNS and investigation has been started. Two people who fled from the vehicle are being searched.
