Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke to Govinda over the phone. The CM enquired about his health and wished him a speedy recovery. CM Shinde also instructed the hospital authorities to take the best care of Govinda and ensure his speedy recovery.

Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha told that Govinda had to fly at 6 am for a program in Kolkata and he was about to leave his house at 4:45 am when the licensed revolver accidentally fired while he was keeping it in the cupboard.
