Whoever read the sensational incident that took place in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh was stunned. On Monday night, the wife and three children were found dead in the house of a bullion trader of Mohalla Lalpura in Etawah. When the businessman reached the railway track near the railway station to commit suicide, the GRP caught him. The incident was revealed after the businessman was caught. The businessman told that for the past eight-ten years there was some domestic problem going on, which he was not able to share. The problem had increased more in the last two years. My wife had asked what happened, why are you so tensed? I had said that I feel like ending my life. On this, my wife had said that if this happens then take us along with you. 

'I was going to die on the day of Karva Chauth'

The businessman said that he was going to die alone on the day of Karva Chauth, but his wife stopped him that day. She said let Karva Chauth pass first, don't think about dying now. I returned from Kanpur two days ago, after that all the arrangements for dying were made. My wife had said to give me something so that the pain of dying is less. On this I gave her sleeping pills because my first wife had also taken sleeping pills in front of everyone before dying. 

Before dying the children had asked- Papa what are you doing?

The murderer said that first, the wife died then the children. I too had gone to die but survived. The businessman said that he strangled his wife with a rope. Before this, the wife had tried to kill herself by hanging, but was unable to stand straight due to taking sleeping pills. She said let me lie down then you can kill me as you wish. After this, I strangled the children also with a rope. During this, the children also asked me papa what are you doing? I said Son I cannot leave you all alone so I am taking you with me. But I survived. Seven coaches passed over me but still I survived.

On Monday night, the GRP caught a bullion trader from Mohalla Lalpura in Etawah district on the railway track near the junction while he was attempting suicide. Upon questioning, it was found that the wife and three children of that person had died. This created a stir in the police. When the police reached the house at around 10 o'clock, they found the woman and her three children lying dead. During interrogation, it was also found out that the husband had put a status on the phones of his wife and daughter and had informed the police on 112 that his wife and three children had committed suicide by consuming poison. 

Bullion trader Mukesh Verma (45) lives with his joint family in Mohalla Lalpura of Kotwali area. The families of his three brothers also live in the same house. On Monday night at around 8:20 pm, Mukesh put a status of his death on the phones of his wife Rekha and daughter.

Police caught Mukesh while he was trying to commit suicide.

It is said that in the meantime he called 112 and informed that his wife Rekha, elder daughter Bhaavya (19), Kavya (17), and Abhisht (13) had died by consuming poison and then switched off the phone. Kotwali police were searching for the informer when at around 9 o'clock GRP caught Mukesh near the junction station while he was trying to commit suicide.

During interrogation, the accused informed about the death of his wife and children. On this, the Kotwali police reached the house at around 10 o'clock. The police found the bodies of Rekha, Bhaavya and son Abhisht in the room on the ground floor of the house, while Kavya's body was found in the room on the first floor.
