China got angry with this action of America and accused it of retreating from the 'One China' policy.

China and America never miss an opportunity to make strategic decisions against each other. While China is getting closer to America's two biggest enemies, Russia and Iran, for the past few years, America has also left no stone unturned to irritate China by supporting Taiwan.

In fact, China considers Taiwan as its part and considers any attempt by any country to establish diplomatic or any kind of relationship with Taiwan as an attack on its sovereignty. Just a few days ago, Chinese forces surrounded Taiwan from all sides and conducted military drills. This move by Beijing was seen as a warning to the Taiwanese government and its supporters.

Now a move by the US government has increased China's frustration. In fact, on Friday, the US State Department approved a $2 billion arms sales package for Taiwan, which includes ground-to-air missile systems and radars, which is being seen as an effort to counter China's growing military power in the Asia Pacific region.

Although this deal has not yet been approved by the US Congress, it is believed that Congress may approve it soon. These weapons will be supplied to Taiwan by the US Air Force.

China vowed to take Taiwan back!

China has criticized the Biden administration over US arms sales to Taiwan. China has vowed to take "all necessary measures" against these efforts by the US, asserting its sovereignty over Taiwan.

Taipei's Defense Ministry has expressed gratitude to the US for this deal and said, 'This will help the army to continuously increase its military strength and will also strengthen joint efforts to maintain peace in the Taiwan Strait and regional stability.'

China's big accusation of America

On the other hand, Beijing has hit back, saying in a statement that the latest arms package to Taiwan 'seriously violates China's sovereignty and security interests, it seriously damages China-US relations, as well as endangers regional peace and stability.'

The spokesperson of China's Foreign Ministry has said, 'China has strongly condemned this move of America and has also lodged its protest with the US regarding this.' Beijing says that it will take all necessary steps to defend its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

Taiwan's issue is a 'red line' for China.

China has consistently termed the Taiwan issue a 'red line', saying it should not be crossed at any cost. Recently, China has refused to use any kind of force to bring Taiwan under its control.

China is aggressive about Taiwan.

In recent times, China has made its presence felt daily around Taiwan. During the military drill conducted by the three armies of China this month, its fighter planes, drones, and warships were seen surrounding this strategic island from all sides. At the same time, earlier this month, Taiwan recorded the presence of 153 Chinese aircraft in a single day.

Accused of retreating from 'One China' policy

Even though there are no diplomatic relations between the US and Taiwan, the US is constantly supporting Taipei against China. China has expressed its displeasure over the international support Taiwan is receiving and has accused Washington of interfering in its internal affairs. China says that the US is retreating from its 'One China' policy, under which Washington does not openly support Taiwan's independence.
