Security questions before Xi Jinping's visit to Pakistan

In fact, Chinese President Xi Jinping is going to visit Pakistan soon, so China's concerns about security matters have increased. Earlier this year, in March and now in the first week of October, two terrorist attacks were carried out targeting Chinese officials, which Ambassador Jiang Zhidong has rejected and said that China expects Pakistan to take strong measures to protect Chinese citizens, institutions, and projects.

Safety of citizens is first priority: China

Jiang described security concerns as the primary challenge for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), saying that no goal can be achieved without a safe and healthy environment. He stressed giving severe punishment to anti-China elements in Pakistan and eliminating anti-China terrorist groups.

Jiang said that Chinese President Xi Jinping gives top priority to the safety and life of Chinese people. He is very concerned about the Chinese citizens present in Pakistan. Whenever Jinping meets Pakistani officials, he asks them to ensure the safety of Chinese people, institutions, and projects.

According to the report of The Express Tribune, this seminar was organized by the Pakistan China Institute, in which officials from both countries participated. Jiang Zhidong from China and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar from Pakistan gave speeches at it.

Pakistan is hiding its failure!

Deputy PM Ishaq Dar confirmed the anti-terrorism operations being carried out by Pakistan and said that an update on Pakistan's efforts will be given in the meeting between President Jinping and Asif Ali Zardari. To hide his failure, Ishaq Dar said that some forces are not able to digest the friendship between Pakistan and China, so attacks on Chinese officials are increasing.

When did attacks happen on Chinese officials

In March this year, a suicide attack was carried out targeting Chinese officials in northwestern Pakistan, in which 5 Chinese engineers and their Pakistani driver were killed. This attack took place when the Chinese officials were going towards the country's largest hydropower project Dasu Dam.

On October 6, 2 Chinese employees were killed and 8 people were injured in a blast outside Karachi airport. The Baloch Liberation Army took responsibility for this attack.

Strong opposition to China in Pakistan

In fact, the people of Pakistan's Balochistan province have been continuously opposing China. It is the largest and resource-rich province of Pakistan but is very poor due to the negligence of Pakistani rulers. The Pakistan government has started big Chinese projects here but the people of Balochistan have neither got employment in it nor has there been any improvement in their economic condition, due to which people are very angry with the Pakistan government as well as China.
