G20 Summit 2024: The Prime Minister attended the ongoing G-20 Summit in Brazil and warmly met the heads of many countries.

Rio de Janeiro: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with leaders of several countries, including Brazil, Singapore and Spain, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit here as he was warmly received by Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, who is hosting the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro. "Looking forward to the G-20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro. Thank you President Lula for the warm welcome."

Meeting with Singapore-Spain PM

Modi, who arrived here after concluding his two-day visit to Nigeria, also met UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the summit and held talks with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. The prime minister also met Spanish President Pedro Sanchez, who came to India on an official visit last month. Modi wrote on X, "From Vadodara to Rio, talks are going on. Had a warm conversation with Spanish President Pedro Sanchez. ’’

Happy to meet Meloni-Macron

On the sidelines of the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, he also met Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and French President Emmanuel Macron and discussed issues like defence and trade. It focused on deepening ties in trade and technology. We also talked about promoting cooperation in culture, education and other such fields can contribute immensely in making India-Italy friendship a planet better. Meanwhile, President Macron has also posted a video of meeting PM Modi, in which he is seen hugging and laughing.
