Israel's fourth attack on Beirut in a week, dozens of buildings destroyed.

Israel has once again shaken Central Beirut with its bombing. According to reports, Israel carried out a powerful airstrike targeting Central Beirut in the early hours of Saturday, the attack was so dangerous that it shook the entire capital. The pictures that came after the attack show civilian buildings being damaged, while Israel has claimed to have targeted the bases of Iran-backed Hezbollah.

News agency Reuters reported that several explosions were heard in the capital around 4 am. Two security sources informed that at least 4 rockets were fired at the capital. In the footage after the attack, the sound of the sirens of ambulances rushing towards the explosion site in the Basta area of Beirut could be heard. In the pictures released by Lebanon's Al Jadid channel, a building can be seen completely destroyed, while many nearby buildings have been badly damaged.

This is the fourth Israeli airstrike targeting Beirut Central this week. On Sunday, a senior Hezbollah media official was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Ras al-Nabaa district.

Israel launched a major offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon in September, killing the group's chief Hassan Nasrallah. Nearly a year after the Gaza war began, Israel has carried out massive air strikes on large parts of Lebanon and made military incursions into the south.

Promise to support Gaza

Lebanon's conflict with Israel began after Lebanon protested Israeli attacks on Gaza after 7 October and Hezbollah's support for Palestinian retaliation. Hezbollah has continued to attack Israel despite the deaths of dozens of its leaders.
