Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Salman brought to India, NIA brought him from Rwanda.

 

The NIA brought back Salman Rehman Khan, a person involved in terrorist activities, from Rwanda to India through Interpol channels. The Global Operations Center of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has coordinated with the NIA and Interpol National Central Bureau-Kigali for the return of Salman Rehman Khan from Rwanda to India in connection with terrorism-related cases.

The National Investigation Agency has found him guilty of criminal conspiracy, being a member of a terrorist organisation and providing assistance to a terrorist organisation, as well as offences related to the Arms and Explosives Act. Being a member of the internationally banned terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), he had helped in providing arms, ammunition and explosives to further terrorist activities in Bengaluru city. An FIR was also registered at Hebbal police station in Bengaluru city.

NIA issued red notice

On the request of NIA, CBI had got a red notice issued against this person from Interpol on 2nd August. All the law enforcement agencies of the world were sent to catch this criminal. After this, with the help of Interpol National Central Bureau – Kigali, this person was geolocated in Rwanda. A security team of NIA brought him back to India on 29th November.

Recently, Barkat Ali Khan, a CBI red notice person was geolocated in Saudi Arabia through Interpol channels and brought back from Saudi Arabia accompanied by CBI security teams. He is guilty of crimes like rioting and explosives.

Cases registered in many cases in Kerala

Coordination was done with Saudi to bring him back to India. The person with the red notice is a criminal in Mannarkad Police Station, Pattambi in the case of rape and sexual crimes against a minor. On the request of Kerala Police, CBI had issued a red notice against him. With the help of Interpol National Central Bureau-Riyadh, the person with the red notice was geolocated in Saudi Arabia.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had registered a case against Salman in 2023 under sections of criminal conspiracy, being a member of a terrorist organisation and being involved in terrorist activities, Arms Act and Explosive Substances Act. Being a member of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), he had helped in providing arms, ammunition and explosives to further terrorist activities in Bengaluru city. A case was registered in 2023 at Hebbal police station in Bengaluru city.
