Pakistan: All schools and colleges will remain closed tomorrow in Punjab province and Islamabad, decision regarding protest

 

Workers of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party protested across the country on Sunday. During this, there was a violent clash between PTI workers and police officers. PTI workers were adamant about the Islamabad march. At the same time, in view of the current tense situation, the Islamabad district administration has decided to close all educational institutions in the capital tomorrow i.e. Monday.

Islamabad has been completely sealed due to the protest by PTI workers. Internet services are down in many parts of the country. The Islamabad district administration announced the closure of schools and colleges in the capital on Monday. A formal notification is expected to be issued soon.

Schools and colleges were closed due to the protest

A formal notification will be issued confirming the closure of schools, colleges, and universities in Islamabad. This decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the ongoing unrest. Meanwhile, tension has increased in Punjab and the capital Islamabad over the protests of PTI workers.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers clashed with police officers during protests in several cities. Many protesters have also been arrested during this violent clash. PTI workers in Faizabad pelted stones at policemen while trying to enter Islamabad.

However, due to heavy police deployment in Islamabad, the PTI protesters failed to achieve their objectives. After this clashes were seen between them and the police and incidents of stone pelting took place. The police have said that no miscreant will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. Action will be taken against the miscreants as per the law.

Islamabad turned into a cantonment

At the same time, a convoy of PTI workers who reached Motorway M-1 from Ghazi in Attock started pelting stones in front of the police. After the authorities warned against such actions, PTI workers also set fire to the motorway. At the same time, the police arrested PTI leaders who were marching towards Islamabad. Police have detained 16 people from Faizabad, Islamabad.

Meanwhile, tear gas shells and lathis were fired on PTI workers amid the ongoing protests at many places. Meanwhile, the police succeeded in preventing the protesters from entering Islamabad. Islamabad was converted into a cantonment before the protests. Section 144 is imposed in Punjab province along with Islamabad. Mobile internet services are closed. This protest was carried out by PTI in support of PM Imran Khan and regarding the recent constitutional amendment.
