PM Modi honored with Guyana's highest honor, said- this is an honor for 140 crore Indians.

 

President Dr. Mohammad Irfan Ali honored Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Guyana's highest honor 'The Order of Excellence'. After honoring him, the President of Guyana said in his address that Prime Minister Modi is rendering extraordinary service to different countries at the global level. His skillful statesmanship and important steps have been taken to deepen the relations between India and Guyana.

President Mohammad Irfan Ali said that by using technology, new discoveries, and digitalization, the gap between the two countries should be reduced rather than increased. This step towards progress will help in reducing the gap and poverty between the two countries. He said that both technologies should be used to bring all the countries of the world together. India has been supporting new technology and discovery. He said that PM Modi reminded Guyana in CARICOM that you are also a member of this CARICOM family. The President said that this bilateral meeting was quite different. Here the exchange of ideas between the Caribbean countries improved.

Prime Minister Modi said that I have felt love and affection for the people of India during my conversation with Guyana's President Dr. Irfan Ali. He said that this honour I received is an honor for 140 crore Indians. India will walk shoulder to shoulder with Guyana in every field. As two democratic countries, our focus is not only on bilateral relations but is important for the entire Global South. Guyana, blessed with many rivers, is called the Land of Water. He said that just as the rivers here have been a part of the cultural identity, similarly, India's sacred rivers like Ganga, Yamuna, and Brahmaputra have been the birthplace of our ancient civilization.

PM Modi was awarded Guyana's highest honor. Barbados had also announced to honor PM Modi with its highest honor. Earlier, Dominica had honoured him with 'The Dominica Award of Honour' and Nigeria's second highest honor 'The Grand Commander of the Order of Niger'.
