Ukraine claims that it shot down 50 drones, meaning 23 drone attacks were successful. Russia attacked Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy and Kiev. Russia fired about 16 drones on Kiev.

Russia occupies about 25 percent of Ukraine

This is the reason why the Ukrainian army has now started installing anti-drone nets on residential buildings in Kiev. It is claimed that this net will protect the buildings from drone debris. Ukraine fears that Russia may soon begin to siege Kiev, for which it will resort to drone attacks. In fact, Russia claims that it has occupied about 25 percent of Ukraine. In the last 24 hours, its army has occupied 300 square km of Donetsk and Kharkiv. Russia can capture Pokrovsk at any time. The south and west parts of the city have been completely surrounded.

The reason behind this aggressive stance of Putin's army is the coronation of Donald Trump, which is to take place in January. It is feared that Trump may put all his strength for the Russia-Ukraine agreement. This is the reason why Russia now wants to capture as much territory as possible so that Russia can get maximum benefit at the negotiating table. This is the reason why Russia has increased the pace of the war, increased the speed of attack and started using deadly weapons. The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on since February 2022 and it is difficult to say how long it will continue.
