IPL 2023: Virender Sehwag's warning to CSK bowlers, said- 'Don't do such a thing that Dhoni gets banned'

Virender Sehwag On CSK Bowlers: Former cricketer Virender Sehwag has slammed the CSK bowlers for throwing too many whites and no balls. He warned the Chennai bowlers, saying, 'If they keep bowling like this, captain MM Dhoni may be banned due to slow over rate'. If we look at the figures, this year the bowlers of Chennai Super Kings have given a lot of extra runs. His series continued in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 17 April. In the match against RCB, CSK bowlers had given 11 extra runs, of which 6 were wides.

Dhoni may be banned
Talking to Hindustan Times after the match played between CSK and RCB, Sehwag said, 'Dhoni looked unhappy with the number of extra runs given by the bowlers of Chennai Super Kings'. He warned the bowlers that their inspirational captain could be banned due to the slow to overrate again and again.

According to Sehwag, 'MS Dhoni was not looking happy as he has already said that he wants the bowlers to reduce the number of nos and wides. CSK has bowled another extra over against RCB. It should not go to the level where captain Dhoni is banned and the team has to take the field without a captain.

Sehwag further said, 'The kind of injury he has in his knee, it seems that he can play only a few more matches anyway. He is constantly pushing himself but if his bowlers keep bowling such wides and no balls, then Dhoni will have to rest. According to former cricketer Sehwag, CSK's bowling is weak in the 16th season of IPL. In such a situation, he will have to bowl on the right line. He said, 'How did RCB score 218 runs against CSK after playing 30 balls dot?

CSK bowling weak
Sehwag, the former explosive batsman of Team India, further said, 'I have been saying from day one that Chennai's bowling is weak. He needs to work in every department. But what else can they do? Whatever resources they have, they will have to use them in this season. Their bowlers will have to bowl more accurately. CSK bowlers bowled 30-35 dot balls against RCB. This means no runs were given in 5-6 overs. Nevertheless, the Bangalore team was successful in scoring 218 runs. Because the bowlers of Chennai looted a lot of fours and sixes.
