T20 Rankings: Tilak at number three, Sanju benefits
Yashasvi Jaiswal is ranked eighth and is another Indian player in the top 10. Ruturaj Gaikwad is ranked fifteenth.
Dubai: Indian player Tilak Verma has retained his third position in the ICC T20 batting rankings. After scoring two consecutive centuries in the T20 series against South Africa, Tilak Verma overtook Suryakumar Yadav to reach the third position. Suryakumar Yadav remains in the fourth position. At the same time, despite not playing any T20 match after the series against South Africa, Malayalee player Sanju Samson has moved up one place to 22nd position.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is ranked eighth and is another Indian player in the top ten. Ruturaj Gaikwad is ranked fifteenth. India's Shubman Gill is ranked 34th. In the T20 bowling rankings, England's Adil Rashid has retained his first position, while Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga is ranked second. India's Ravi Bishnoi is ranked eighth, Arshdeep Singh is ninth and Axar Patel is ranked thirteenth.
Another big change is Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Afridi losing the first position in the ODI bowling rankings. Afghanistan's Rashid Khan has regained the first position, while Afridi has slipped to second place. India's Jasprit Bumrah is in seventh and Mohammed Siraj is in eighth position. Hardik Pandya has retained his first position in the T20 all-rounder rankings, while Axar Patel is in the thirteenth position. There is no possibility of any major change in the rankings due to no T20 matches in the coming weeks.
Sanju Samson has climbed up the rankings by scoring two centuries in the T20 series against South Africa. After scoring centuries in the last match of the T20 series against Bangladesh and the first match against South Africa, Sanju got out for zero in the next two matches, due to which he could not make it to the top ten. Sanju also scored a century in the last match against South Africa.
