Amla is very beneficial to eat. Apart from being rich in Vitamin C, it also contains many powerful antioxidants. Amla is considered a boon of Ayurveda, its nutrients help in increasing immunity. But everything has some advantages and disadvantages. There are some health conditions in which even doctors advise not to eat Amla. Let us know about some health conditions in which Amla should not be eaten.

Liver patients should consume Amla in limited quantities only. Eating Amla and ginger together should be avoided at all. This can increase the level of liver enzymes which is very harmful for liver patients.

Blood disorder patients
Amla is rich in antiflatulent properties that prevent the formation of blood clots, thereby reducing the risk of heart attack, but people who are already suffering from blood disorders should not consume Amla.

Operation done
People who are going to undergo surgery soon should avoid eating Amla. Excessive consumption of this fruit increases the risk of bleeding. Prolonged bleeding may lead to hypoxemia, severe acidosis, or multi-organ dysfunction. Therefore, experts recommend that one should stop eating Amla at least 2 weeks before surgery.

Kidney patients
People who have any kidney-related problem should consume it only after consulting an expert. Excessive consumption of Amla increases the sodium level in the body and also affects kidney function.

Pregnant women
Amla contains many essential nutrients which are beneficial for the body, but excessive consumption can cause stomach upset. This can also cause problems like diarrhea and dehydration. These symptoms may be more severe in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. These women should eat Amla only after consulting the doctor.

People with low blood sugar levels
Avoid Amla if your blood sugar levels are often low or if you are taking anti-diabetic medication.
