For this, necessary norms have been set by the Central Government. It takes 10 to 30 days to complete the necessary process for Mansarovar Yatra.

These are the important norms
Applicant should be a citizen of India and should have a valid Indian passport for 6 months. The minimum age should be 18 years and the maximum 70 years. Must have a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or less. The medical fitness test is mandatory for travel. Foreign nationals and OCI card holders cannot apply for Mansarovar Yatra.

Such is the process of selection
The applicant is selected through a computer process. In this, some names are taken from themselves. Those who are selected for the journey. An automated email or SMS is sent to them. After this, the applicant has to confirm his journey by depositing some necessary fees.

This is how the process of medical tests happens
Passengers who are selected at the computer level. He is taken to Delhi for a medical examination. Necessary medical tests are done at the Heart and Lung Institute and ITBP Base Hospital in Delhi. Later ITBP Base Hospital decides who is fully fit to travel to Kailash Mansarovar.

Medical tests are also done during travel
The process of medical tests does not end only in Delhi. Another high-altitude medical test is conducted at ITBP Gunji (travelling from Lipulekh pass) and Sherthang (travelling from Nathu La). Here also the passenger should be completely fit. If there is any discrepancy, the passenger is not allowed to travel further.

Indian passport should be valid for 6 months
Indian passport should be valid for 6 months. There is also a government warrant in this, which is certified by the level of a government official. It is written on it that the applicant is travelling at his own risk. Apart from this, some other conditions are fixed.

While going to Mount Kailash, you also have to see from which direction you are going. If you are going to Mount Kailash from Lhasa, then you have to take a permit for Tibet. The Tibetan guide in Burung gets the Alien Travel Permit and Military Permit and Foreign Affairs Permit to visit Mount Kailash. On the other hand, if going to Mount Kailash from Kathmandu, along with the necessary documents, a China group visa has to be taken along with a valid passport for entry into Tibet. It takes 3 days.
