Portal ready for treatment of 949 diseases of elderly above 70 years of age: Elderly people above 70 years of age have also been included in Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Soon their cards will start being made. For this, the portal has been prepared and testing will start. Registration will start soon through Aadhaar.

949 diseases of elderly people above 70 years of age will be treated

Union Health Secretary Apurva Chandra gave this information. Ayushman Bharat Yojana has completed six years. Under this, cards have been issued to 35.36 crore people so far. A maximum 49 cards have been issued to women.

At present, an additional top-up of five lakhs has been given to people above 70 years of age. Therefore, the coverage amount has become ten lakhs for the families who are already covered. Many states have also increased the coverage amount.

12 crore families included

12.37 crore families have been included in the scheme. So far 7.79 crore people have been hospitalized, out of which 3.61 crore were women. Out of these, 49 cards have been issued to women.

Treatment is given for 949 types of diseases in the scheme, which includes 27 special treatments. Cancer, kidney disease, heart disease are included in the highest number of cases.

How to apply for PMJAY

Go to the PMJAY website, and click on AM I ELIGIBLE tab. Verify your mobile number by entering OTP. Select state and scheme. If you get the details of your family and eligibility, follow the steps below…

• Click on the Register Yourself button here.
• Now fill in the mandatory tabs and then click on Submit.
• After successful registration, now do your KYC and wait for approval.
• Once the card is ready/approved by the competent authority, the beneficiary can download the card.

Ayushman Bharat Yojana completes 6 years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) exactly six years ago on 23 September 2018 and now a network of 30 thousand hospitals across the country has been connected with this scheme.
