Crispy Corn Chaat is a delicious and flavourful Indian street food snack made with crispy corn kernels tossed in a tangy and spicy chaat masala dressing. It is a popular dish that is perfect for parties, celebrations, or simply as a delicious evening snack. Here's a simple recipe to make crispy corn chaat:

Ingredients:

1 cup sweet corn kernels

2 tbsp cornflour

1/4 tsp red chili powder

salt as per taste

oil for frying

For Chaat Dressing:

1 tbsp finely chopped onion

1 tbsp finely chopped tomato

1 tbsp finely chopped cucumber

1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)

1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

1/2 tsp chaat masala

1/2 tsp roasted cumin Powder

1/2 tsp black salt

1 tbsp lemon juice

Instruction:

In a mixing bowl, add maize kernels, cornflour, red chili powder, and salt. Toss well to coat the corn in the cornflour mixture to evenly marinate.

For deep frying, heat oil in a deep pan or kadhai. When the oil is hot, add the coated corn kernels and fry them till they turn crispy and golden brown. Remove the fried corn with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

In a separate mixing bowl, mix the chopped onions, tomatoes, cucumber, green chilies, and coriander leaves to make the chaat dressing.

Add chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, black salt, and lemon juice to the dressing. Mix all the ingredients well.

Add the crispy corn kernels to the chaat dressing and toss them gently till they are coated with the dressing.

Serve the Crispy Corn Chaat immediately, garnished with additional chopped coriander leaves and a sprinkle of chaat masala if desired.
