Ingredients of Rava Handvo

  • 1/2 cup semolina
  • 1/2 cup grated bottle gourd
  • 1/2 cup beetroot
  • 3/4 cup curd
  • 1 pouch fruit
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • 2-3 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 green chili

How to Make Rava Handvo

1. Put semolina, beetroot, bottle gourd, and curd in a mixing bowl. Mix well and keep it for 15 minutes.

After 2.15 minutes add salt and fruit salt to it and prepare the final mixture. Add water if required to get the consistency right.

3. Heat oil in a pan/kadhai and prepare tempering by adding mustard seeds and green chilies. Add batter and cover the lid.

4. Cook on low flame till it turns brown from one side. Flip the handvo and cook on the other side as well.

5. After the handvo is cooked on one side, you can also transfer it and apply tadka on the other side as well.

6. After tempering, keep the raw side of the handvo down and cook.

7. Test with a knife and if it comes out clean then it is ready to eat.
