For sweetness, you will need 250 grams of sugar. If you want, you can also add some chopped cashews and almonds to it. If you like pistachios and raisins, they can also be added. Generally, carrot halwa is flavoured with only cardamom powder. To give the final touch, you will need one spoon of desi ghee.

How to make Carrot Halwa with Milk:

To make carrot halwa, first, wash the carrots and peel them lightly. Grate all the carrots.

If you want to make halwa quickly, then put one cup of grated carrots with one cup of water in a pressure cooker and cook till one whistle.

If you prefer to make halwa in a simple way, then put all the grated carrots in a pan and let it cook.

Keep stirring occasionally and check whether the carrots have become soft and tender.

If using a pressure cooker, once the carrots are cooked, heat some ghee in a separate pan and add the carrot mixture to it. Cook on medium flame until it thickens.

Heat milk in another pan until it thickens. Keep stirring to prevent it from sticking to the bottom.

When the milk thickens, add it to the carrot mixture and let it dry. Now add sugar to it and make the halwa as thick as desired.

When carrot halwa is ready, add cardamom powder and finely chopped dry fruits on top.

If you want, you can leave the carrots to cook in milk. Both things will thicken together.

However, for this, you will have to keep stirring it well in between.
