This protein can change the lives of diabetes patients, Indian scientists have discovered a new formula

A team of Indian scientists has found a new way to treat diabetes. They have created a protein that can prevent damage caused by diabetes.

A team of Indian scientists has found a new way to treat diabetes. They have created a protein that can prevent damage caused by diabetes. Researchers have discovered a specific protein IL-35, which reduces cells that produce inflammatory chemicals. This reduces the effects of pancreatic cells. This process makes a positive and important contribution to type 1 diabetes and autoimmune diabetes mellitus.

Researchers at the Institute for Advanced Study in Science and Technology, under the Central Government, have made this discovery. According to the researchers, these findings mean that IL-35 protects the immune system. It also provides a new treatment option for diabetes. However, more studies are needed to understand this entire system and advance IL-35-based medical science in clinical trials.

What do the researchers say?

Researchers say that children and adolescents in developing countries around the world are being affected by the diabetes epidemic. In such a situation, effective treatment of diabetes is the need of the hour. IL-35 is a special protein of a certain series, encoded by the IL-12A and EBI-3 genes. According to research, this discovery has increased the interest of scientists in IL-35, especially in new type-1 and autoimmune diabetes treatments.

About the Study

The team led by Dr Ashish Bala, Associate Professor, Ashish K Mukherjee, Director and Professor and Ratul Chakraborty at the Institute for Advanced Study in Science and Technology (Institute for Advanced Study in Science and Technology), an autonomous institute under the Government of India, Guwahati, conducted a network pharmacological analysis of IL-35-related genes, gene-disease compatibility and detailed experiment review. This analysis identified five disease-interactive genes associated with immune-inflammation, auto-immunity, neoplastic and endocrine disorders.

What IL-35 can help with:

According to the researchers, IL-35 helps prevent type 1 and autoimmune diabetes. It controls macrophage activation, T-cell proteins and regulatory B cells. IL-35 prevented pancreatic beta cells from affecting immune cells. In addition, IL-35 reduced specific immune cells that produce inflammatory chemicals. These reduce the effects of pancreatic cells, which are an important contributor to type 1 diabetes and autoimmune diabetes mellitus.
