Do not touch anyone's feet in the temple

If you go to worship in a temple and see a respected person or an elderly person there, do not touch their feet. This is because there is no one greater than God in the temple. In such a situation, touching the feet of a person in front of God is considered an insult to both God and the temple.

Do not touch the feet of a sleeping person:

If a person is sleeping or lying down, his feet should not be touched at all. It is believed that by doing this the age of a person gets reduced. According to Vedic scriptures, only the feet of the deceased can be touched while sleeping, and no one else. That's why such mistakes should always be avoided.

Avoid touching the feet of the person returning from the crematorium.

One should not touch the feet of the elders who have returned after attending someone's funeral. Attending such an event and coming back pollutes the person. So avoid touching their feet. You can bow down to greet them after their bath but don't fall at their feet if the person has a thread.
