Travel: IRCTC brought a tour package to travel South India, do 10 days tour for just Rs 26100!

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), under the Ministry of Railways, has introduced a 10-day tour package for South India travel. Passengers will travel to holy places like Rameshwaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Tirupati, and Mallikarjuna on the special Bharat Gaurav train. The journey will commence on March 11, 2023. Passengers can board the train from the following railway stations – Sikar, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, and Kota.

In its March 11 schedule, only 600 passengers are allowed to travel. So IRCTC will follow the rule of first come first serve. Sri Ramanatha Swamy Temple, Meenakshi Temple, Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple and Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga Temple are part of the yatra. Travelers will do local sightseeing in Kanyakumari.

Travel cost:

For a single passenger, the cost is Rs 38040, for double or triple passengers the cost of the journey is Rs 29260. The cost of travel for a child between the age of 5-11 years is Rs 26340.

Including hotel and train services, a single passenger will have to pay Rs 33930 while a double and triple passenger will have to pay Rs 26100 and a child passenger between the age of 5-11 years will have to pay Rs 23490.

The package price includes travel in 3AC class by Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train, night stay, wash, and change and transportation. Also, there are vegetarian food hotels in and outside the train, or packed food will be provided by IRCTC. In addition travel insurance, and transfers for sightseeing are included in the cost of the tour package price. Passengers are advised to book tickets according to their budget.

Monument entry fees, adventure fees, or other sightseeing expenses are not included in the tour itinerary.

The intending passengers must remember that all the guests are requested to carry their Voter ID/Aadhaar Card and Covid-19 Last Dose Certificate with them.

The itinerary is tentative and subject to the smooth and timely running of the train, it is subject to change or modification. The final timing will be based on the train order received from the Railways.

During the 8th day, while proceeding to Mallikarjuna, fresh-up will be provided on a multi-sharing basis in the hostel for standard and superior categories.
