Summer is the peak time for tourists to visit hill stations and Nainital is one of the most popular places during this time. This results in hours-long traffic jams and exhaustion of hotels and disruption of law and order in the city. This also disturbs the daily life of the local people.
To control the situation and make it a pleasant experience for both the tourists and the people living there, the Nainital authority has issued some new rules.
Rules that tourists have to follow while visiting Nainital:
The Nainital district administration has put a vigil on the entry to the city and banned the entry of motorbikes.
To enter the city, tourists have to choose the Haldwani-Kaladungi route.
